Stage 4

Very Advanced Baldness Evaluation

Initial Evaluation

1. Mineral & Vitamin Analysis
(Electro-acupuncture diagnostic device)

Detection of critical deficiencies such as zinc, iron, biotin, magnesium, iodine, and vitamin B/D complex.

Outcome: Personalized supplementation strategy to optimize scalp health and support remaining follicular function.

2. High-Resolution Dermatoscopy

Advanced scalp evaluation focused on:

  • Residual follicular density (follicles per mm²)
  • Degree of hair miniaturisation
  • Inflammation, dandruff, or seborrhea
  • Quality of scalp vascularisation

Outcome: Objective assessment of remaining donor and recipient areas and realistic treatment planning.

3. DOCTHAIR Microscopy (200×)

Microscopic analysis of hair fibres and bulbs, including porosity, cuticle condition, keratin structure, shaft diameter, and follicular vitality.

Outcome: Identification of biological limitations and definition of the safest and most effective treatment pathway.

Mandatory for patients classified within Norwood stages 1–7.

Treatment Protocols by Norwood Stage

Stage 1 – 2 – 3: Natural Regeneration (Non-Invasive)

Goal: Preserve existing hair, slow further progression, and improve scalp condition.

  • Red LED Therapy
  • Medical Microneedling (Dermapen)
  • Natural serums & stimulating oils
  • Supplement protocols based on detailed mineral analysis

Expected Results: Stabilisation of hair loss and improvement in hair quality where follicles remain viable.

Stage 3 – 4 – 5: Regeneration + Reconstruction

Goal: Reconstruct the hairline and restore visible density while respecting donor limitations.

In addition to all Stage 1–3 treatments, the protocol may include:

  • Exosomes / PRP / PRF therapies
  • Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) for visual density
  • DHI Hair Transplant (frontal zone and/or crown, based on donor capacity)

Expected Results: Natural-looking coverage, balanced proportions, and a realistic aesthetic outcome.
